We are quickly approaching November…and we have to make the most out of October…
And so the Halloween-y breakfast saga continues….
Good Morning!
For my busiest October weekend, I need something easy and something fast…
I also need something that goes with the Halloween theme… so I got a bright idea.
Since I made this Pumpkin Pie Spiced Halloween Pancake last year, I thought, Why not make creepy-looking black pancake today?
I know, right? I couldn’t get enough of Halloween. I know you must think I’m bonkers… but my daughter and my nieces just loves me for these food!
I just couldn’t take the fun out of eating!
Thank you for dropping in today.
I have a field trip for three to get ready for tomorrow and a grocery shopping for an early Halloween party on Sunday.
I doubt I could sneak in a 30-minute HipHop Abs session…
..and so I will just leave you with this breakfast idea which, if it doesn’t freak you out, I’m sure you’ll love.
okay, a year has passed and I still don’t know how to draw a very scary spider.
my spider looks like a turtle, I know, but don’t tell anyone….sshhhh
Black Velvet Pancake, a Very Halloween Breakfast…BOO!!
- Author: The Peach Kitchen
Ingredients
- Your favorite pancake recipe OR Pancake mix
- 4 drops black gel food coloring
- ½ cup white chocolate chips {I used Goya Easy Melt, it tastes delicious!}
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp Canola Oil
Instructions
- Mix Maya Kitchen Pancake Mix according to package directions.
- Add black gel food coloring.
- Cook pancake as you normally would, heat a non-stick pan and grease slightly with butter.
- Scoop about ¼ cup batter onto the hot pan.
- Cook until bubbles appear on the surface and the edges look dry.
- Turn over and remove from pan when cooked.
- Put white chocolate chips and canola oil in a microwaveable cup.
- microwave for about 10 seconds or until white chocolate has melted.
- Using the melted white chocolate chips, draw creepy Halloween characters such as spiders and ghost. No need for maple syrup anymore because white chocolate is already sweet.
Do I get a thumbs up for this Halloween breakfast??
