I miss peanutbutter♥.
Well, you already know that I miss him every single day but today it’s different. I miss him more these days than any other day….
I’m guessing it’s the season.
Holiday Season is much more about families and get-togethers and a lot of husband hugs…
Yes, husband hugs.
You see, husband hugs are so different from any kind of hugs. Your bff can give you a hug…..your mom or your sister can give you a hug… even your brother can give you a hug, but it just won’t be the same as the hug your husband gives you.
Husband hugs are the kind of hugs that can envelope you into a world of warmth and comfort because it comes from place of deeper understanding. It is the kind of hug that you can relax into and can lull you into a blissful sleep.
It comes with familiar husband neck smells, deep breathing and maybe a soft whisper of “i love you”.
It is a very special kind of hug because it’s made with all the great stuff you can only get through time like understanding and patience and commitment and– most of all– love.
That’s the kind of hug that I need today….and because I could only get a virtual husband hug, I just settled for a “husband meal”.
A husband meal is something most husbands would love because it’s meaty and tasty……
…and peanutbutter♥ loves porkchops.
This is very much like having a meal with him….
PrintSoy Ginger Porkchops with Pineapple Salsa
- Author: The Peach Kitchen
Ingredients
- 5 pcs porkchops
- ¼ pineapple juice
- ¼ soy sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- cooking oil for frying
Recipe for Pineapple Salsa here
Instructions
- Combine pineapple juice, soy sauce, salt, sugar and grated ginger in a large shallow bowl.
- Mix well.
- Add porkchops and marinate for 3-4 hours.
- Fry porkchops in hot oil until brown and cooked.
- Top with Pineapple Salsa when serving.
Note♥: I tried both roasting the porkchops in the oven and pan frying them. Pan frying them seems to be the best choice method of cooking because it sears the meat and locks in all the flavor.
You can also grill the porkchops and use the marinade as basting sauce. I was just too lazy to grill the porkchops yesterday so I fried it,hee.

Yan ang comfort meal!
Aha! That was what I was talking about, how the pineapple salsa would definitely be great with a meat dish. Yum! My husband loves his pork chops fried instead of grilled, more fatty flavor that way, haha!
You cooked the chops perfectly, Peach!
Oh my gosh…while I originally envisioned this salsa on fish, I can’t think of anything but that gorgeous pork chop now. Looks FABULOUS!

I made these pork chops for the 2nd time tonight. The 1st time, I made up the marinade and bought extra chops then froze them. Tonight I grilled them & served them w/PW’s pineapple fried rice, oh my gosh, they were so great! This recipe is going into my regular rotation. I’m tempted to eat all the leftovers but I’m so stuffed. There’s always tomorrow. Loved them! Thanks!
I am so glad you liked it,Jessie! Thanks for dropping by…
