We were seriously craving fried chicken the other day, and thankfully, there’s a Tom Sawyer’s Old Fashioned Krispy Chicken branch at Congressional Ave. It’s the closest one to us, so we decided to swing by for lunch.
We kicked things off with the Chicken Chowder Soup (₱128), and let me tell you, it was piping hot when it arrived. It was so creamy and chunky—packed with potatoes, carrots, celery, and tender shredded chicken. Definitely a cozy start to the meal.
Next up, the Chicken and Waffles (₱248). If you’re into that sweet and salty combo (and who isn’t?), this one’s for you. The waffle was perfectly soft and fluffy, and the chicken pieces were a dream—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Definitely a crowd-pleaser!
We also couldn’t resist ordering the classic 2-Piece Chicken (₱218) meal with rice. The fried chicken came with the signature old-fashioned buttery gravy, which, honestly, takes everything to the next level.
Trying something new, we also got the Fish Fillet Sandwich (₱238), which was a recent addition to the menu. The fish fillet was thick, crispy, and served with cheese and coleslaw inside a soft bun. On the side, crispy fries made for the perfect pairing.
And of course, no meal is complete without dessert! We went for the Brownie Gelato Ala Mode (₱168). It was rich, indulgent, and totally hit the spot.
All in all, a satisfying lunch full of comfort food. If you’re near Congressional, definitely check it out!
