Lunch at Ramen Kuroda

Lunch was at Ramen Kuroda. I know, I know! It’s super hot out there today, but we craved ramen for lunch. I didn’t know if that was because we didn’t have breakfast yet before running an errand to the mall. If that was the case, we were just probably craving for some high carb, high fat fuel source… heehee.

So we went to have lunch at Ramen Kuroda — this is our go to place when we want ramen that’s budget-friendly. Their ramen is incredibly affordable, especially compared to other popular ramen joints. This accessibility makes it a perfect spot for a casual and satisfying lunch.

It was just me, Daddydoodledoo, and Twinkle. We left Ykaie at home sleeping. To start of our meal, we ordered California Roll (₱290) and Chicken Nanban (₱280) . Twinkle loves nori and I’m making her appreciate eating sushi. As for the Chicken Nanban, well, it became my favorite — the chicken was crisp, flavorful and it came with a tasty tartar sauce with finely shredded cabbage on the side.

Twinkle and I had a bowl each of the Kuro Ramen (₱220) which is Tonkotsu Ramen with Roasted Garlic Flavor. This is our favorite. Twinkle wasn’t able to finish hers so I made a mental note to order just one and just share it with her next time.

Daddydoodledoo had Curry Ramen (₱270) this time. It has thick noodles and the soup was kinda thick too.. much like curry sauce. He liked it, though.

If you’re looking for a delicious and affordable ramen fix, Ramen Kuroda is definitely worth a try. The rich broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and friendly service make it a crowd-pleaser. Just be prepared for a potential wait, especially during peak hours.

Ramen Kuroda is located at Level 3, SM City Grand Central, Rizal Avenue Extension, Caloocan City
