Happy New Year!
It’s six days into 2024 and life is still a bit busy and I haven’t quite adjusted with the cleaning and all. Ykaie is already back to school and Twinlle will be in two days. May swimming pa kami with Daddydoodledoo’s side of the family tomorrow (which is a Sunday) at 88 Hot Springs in Laguna.
So this is how we welcomed 2024 in to our lives. Pantone Color of the Year is Peach Fuzz. Ykaie and I decided we don’t look good in peach kaya we wore Blue — a color na lahat kami meron..LOL!

Our Media Noche is composed of food we love and of course, we decided that as our tradition, kailangan may SOUP lagi on the table. SOUP is seen as a symbol of emotional nourishment or comfort. For us, it symbolizes love, comfort, and community.
Our soup this year is the popular : Lasagna Soup which Ykaie cooked. Of course there has to be fish for good fortune, so I cooked Cheesy Baked Salmon. There’s also Chili Garlic Prawns, Leche Flan, and Lumpiang Shanghai from my sister who calls herself Anney. Our fruits are grapes, apple, lemon, orange, kiwi, dragonfruit, and mango.
I caught Onyx smelling the fruits on the table…hihihi

After eating, we went out for lusis and sparklers. Sis bought this bubbles fountains which is supposed to blow a burst of bubble ala NYE Fountain. Pero ayan konti lang ang bubbles na lumalabas.

When the clock struck 12, we went up to the rooftop, unfortunately may nagpapaputok just right outside our house and mababa ang lipad ng fireworks. Almost until rooftop lang namin. Twinkle was so scared and we ended up not watching the fireworks from our rooftop like we always do.
Nag-videoke na lang kami until around 1am.
Anyway, Ykaie and Twinkle was able to eat their 12 grapes under the table at midnight for good luck this year. Cheers and may we all have an amazing 2024!
