Cuchinta or Kutsinta is an orange or brown rice cake that is a favorite snack among Filipinos. It is often served side by side with Puto, which is a steamed rice cake and both of them are served with grated fresh coconut on top.

This is the man selling Puto and Cuchinta every morning. I took the photo from the computer shop window before hollering that I was going to buy some.

There’s still a lot of Cuchinta…
This is the other container which should’ve contained some Puto but I guess they’re all sold out. It also contains the grated fresh coconut and a can of condensed milk made into dulce de leche. This goes on top of the Puto and Cuchinta.
The vendor is putting some Dulce de leche on top of my Cuchinta. I bought  3 pieces for P2/each.
Then in goes the grated coconut…
mmmm…breakfast.

An entry for and.

♥♥ Sorry, MYM friends, there’s too little yellow in this entry.Only the coin container of the cuchinta vendor is yellow. Anyway, hope you guys have a great week ahead!
