Healthy Cookies & Cream Frozen Dessert

It’s been almost two weeks since peanutbutter left and I still feel like I’m still getting reacquainted with those things that I’m used to doing everyday like cooking, and blogging, and those mommy things I do.

After letting you know some of the things that I’ve been eating at restaurants {and probably tempting you into going there to eat those exact same things}, I think it’s about time I make something. Let me start with something easy and something we all need these hot Summer days — frozen dessert!

Like what the title says, this is a Cookies & Cream frozen dessert. It looks like ice cream, it tastes like ice cream but…SURPRISE! it’s healthier than ice cream because it is made with just two ingredients: Bananas and Oreo Cookies.

Getting the kids to eat their fruit has never been so easy and it’s fun for me too because I get to create different kinds of flavors. And you know how kids are, they love anything frozen and anything that tastes like ice cream!

How is this possible you might ask. Well, I use the Dole Yonanas Maker to make this delicious, healthy, frozen treat!

Healthy Cookies & Cream Frozen Dessert

The Dole Yonanas maker is just like a blender and makes delicious, creamy, healthy frozen treats in just minutes. It uses a proprietary technology and makes it possible to transform only frozen fruits into a dessert that looks and tastes like soft serve ice cream.

How to use the Dole Yonanas maker? Simply freeze your overripe fruits {bananas, berries, pineapples, mangoes}for approximately 24 hours, turn on your yonanas maker, add the frozen fruits into the machine and you’ll get your healthy, frozen treat!

That means ice cream that is good for everyone, the adults and kids alike, because it has no milk, cream, sugar, soy,  and artificial sweeteners. And because it is made from fruits,  it has zero fat, zero cholesterol and is full of fiber vitamins and minerals.

All you need for your Yonanas are frozen cheetah-spotted bananas. The more spots those bananas has, the sweeter your yonanas will turn out.

And the flavors are endless! You can use whatever fruit you want and add anything you want as well like chocolate chips, peanutbutter, and cookies.
