Given that I am almost always out of the house almost twice a week, the truth is, if you could give me just the hint of an excuse or an inkling of a reason, I will most probably find an excuse to politely and quietly back out of social plans that involve more than four people I don’t know. Nope, I am most certainly not anti-social but I have this thing about putting myself in social situations where I will, no doubt, be awkward and weird.
One excuse is that I could say, I have this bread that is full of butter, garlic, mushrooms and cheese, cheese, cheese perfectly blooming in the oven which I know is not an excuse at all and it would just make me sound more awkward and weird…hah!
Let me think about a few rock solid excuses….
One, traffic and my location. Most of those social plans that come up happens in the busiest city in the metro which is a place I am 2 hours away from whether I take a car or the train.
Two, night time. I don’t like going home alone at 10 – 11pm. So unless it’s a Saturday or Sunday night and I can bring a friend with me. It’s an absolute no.
Three, Fall is happening and I am neck- deep in my things-to-do and things-to-buy and my things-to-cook list…This makes me wish there’s 100 hours each day for me to be able to finish all of them.
I am just lucky I made it through Halloween. Sigh.
This is why I need something blooming to cheer me up, specially on a Sunday morning.
No, flowers won’t do. It has to be something I could eat and share with somebody….
Blooming Bread is definitely called for this morning. Sorry, it wasn’t a full bloom, my first time to try it.

fun bread 🙂
That looks really cool!
This must be good. Never had bread quite like this before. Nice.
I’m not always comfortable in roomsful of people I don’t know. This little voice goes off in my head that says, “why are you here and why would anyone want to talk to you?” and then I start talking and I’m fine.
I wouldn’t go out at all if I had this bread though.
It looks amazing – simple yet scrumptious!
This looks wonderful, I’m definitely going to try this! Thank you! =D
What a fantastic way to start the day! I will be trying this comforting recipe VERY soon!!

Oh my gosh Peachy! This looks so good! I’m going to be brave and try it out this weekend, and hopefully, I don’t blow it up, literally! 😛
I’m glad I live in a small town and you can get to anywhere within 15 minutes, 20 minutes medium traffic, 45 minutes really heavy traffic, but that rarely happens :P, it makes going to social events less of a hassle and more fun. 😀
This looks so inviting I think I’m going to try and make one myself just to have a taste.
This is BEAUTIFUL!!! I bet it is addictive – I think I will make this for the Thanksgiving table!!
