Sip of the Week: Drinks I Tried and Loved

Hey there! Today I’m sharing a couple of recent sips that had me feeling both impressed and slightly indifferent.

So, there’s this new coffee spot in town called First Street Coffee, and Ykaie and I decided to pop in during their soft opening earlier this year. At that time, I was trying to cut back on coffee, so I didn’t order anything for myself. But, of course, I couldn’t resist trying a sip of Ykaie’s Iced Spanish Latte. Honestly, it was fine—nothing that made me want to rush back, but still decent enough.

Fast forward to last weekend—Sis had a major coffee craving, and of course, I was down for a little caffeine gossip sesh with her and Twinkle. Sis stuck with her classic Cafe Americano, while I went for the Iced Butterscotch Latte (because sadly, the Iced Macadamia Oat Latte and Iced Tiramisu Latte were both out of stock). We snacked on some Sour Cream French Fries and Chicken Nuggets for Twinkle and treated ourselves to a flatbread and a slice of cheesecake. Now, let me tell you, that Iced Butterscotch Latte? Surprisingly good! It had just the right amount of sweetness without being too overpowering. But the pastries? Eh, not so much. The cheesecake was a bit dry, and the flatbread didn’t really hit the spot either.

Now for something totally unexpected—Macao Imperial Tea has teamed up with Heinz for a collab, and they’ve launched three unique drinks. I was invited to try one of them, and I went with the Sparkling Mango Tomato. It was, um, interesting. Imagine mango juice with little mango tidbits, combined with a tangy kick of Heinz tomato ketchup. The result? A fizzy drink that starts with a tangy tomato flavor but finishes with sweet mango notes. It was definitely different, but I’m still not sure if I loved it or if it was just… a wild experiment in flavor.

So, that’s it for my drink adventures this week! What have you been sipping on? Anything I should try next? Let me know in the comments!
