Okay, so back at the start of 2025, I promised myself that coffee and I were donezo. Silent reflux was calling the shots, and I was ready to say goodbye to my beloved caffeine fix. I even went as far as buying all these coffee alternatives to keep my cravings in check. How long did I last? Ten days. TEN DAYS.
Let’s be real here—being a mom is hectic. My brain needs that caffeine to function like a semi-coherent human being. So, here we are. I’ve come to terms with the fact that coffee is just a part of my life (hello, I’m only human), but I’ve set some boundaries. Now, I try not to go overboard and drink multiple cups a day. I even have days where I reach for decaf or my trusty coffee alternatives—Barlico (a barley coffee) and Rice Coffee.
But today? Today is not one of those days. Today is all about the Iced Nutella Cream Latte.
Why Nutella?
I mean, come on, who doesn’t love Nutella? It’s like a hug in a jar. It’s creamy, chocolatey, and everyone in my house devours it. So, when you throw it together with coffee… magic happens. Pure, delicious magic.

Here’s how you can make your own Iced Nutella Cream Latte at home:
- Whip that Nutella up: Start by whipping Nutella with some all-purpose cream. Don’t just plop it in. You gotta blend it well. Otherwise, you’ll end up with Nutella that’s hard as a rock when it hits the cold ice and milk, and no one wants a lumpy, gross drink.
- Make your coffee base: Pour ice, your milk of choice (I use soy milk because of my reflux situation), and your coffee (instant, brewed, cold brew, espresso, or whatever coffee love you’re into) into a glass.
- Top it off: Then, the magic part—top it with that luscious Nutella cream you whipped up earlier. Give it a gentle stir, and bam! You’ve got yourself a creamy, silky, smooth cup of heaven.
It’s like a shot of joy in a glass. Easy to make, and it’s the perfect pick-me-up for those days when you need a quick energy boost to power through.
Can I use different milk?
You bet! Whole milk, oat milk, almond milk—go wild. I prefer soy because it’s gentle on my stomach and helps with my Silent Reflux (LPR). But hey, use what you love!
What kind of coffee should I use?
Literally, any kind! Instant coffee, brewed, cold brew, espresso… heck, even coffee alternatives work if you’re trying to be fancy like me. The coffee’s there to give you that jolt of energy, so whatever makes you feel good is fair game.
So yeah, my coffee situation may have evolved, but this Iced Nutella Cream Latte? That’s non-negotiable.
