This easy Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup is guaranteed to bring the cozy, spiced sweetness of Fall to your coffee, tea, or dessert.

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup

Yes, still in love with Fall and Fall flavors but so so busy with life! Now, everyone has Christmas flavors –the coffee shops, restaurants — but I’m not done with it . Especially in my coffee. Now, I tried buying coffee syrups last year – I think it was Torani — but I didn’t like their version of Pumpkin Spice. So this year, I proceeded and made my own. Guess what? I love it!

And what’s nice about it is that I already have everything in my kitchen! Pagsasamasamahin na lang.. hihihi. Another thing to love about this recipe is that you can customize it to your taste. You can adjust the sweetness and spice level to match your personal preferences. I didn’t add pumpkin puree because I couldn’t find the canned one — I didn’t want to use squash — well, pwede naman, if you want. It also works as well if it doesn’t have pumpkin puree.

To make this, I just combined water, brown sugar, pumpkin spice, and vanilla extract. Simmered it in low heat for 5 minutes, and let it cool. Super kadooper easy, right? The recipe for my Pumpkin Spice is also down below.

Tips for Perfection:

  • Sweetener swap: If you want a more natural flavor, swap the sugar for maple syrup or honey. Just keep in mind that the texture and sweetness will vary a bit.
  • Consistency: If you prefer a thicker syrup (for drizzling on pancakes or waffles), you can simmer it a bit longer. If you want something more pourable for drinks, reduce the cooking time a little.
  • Spices: If you don’t have pumpkin pie spice, get creative with your spice cabinet! A dash of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves is all you need to make a tasty homemade version.

What Can You Do with It?

Now that you have this delicious Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup, what can you do with it? So much! Here are some of my favorites:

  • Pumpkin Spice Latte: Add a spoonful to your coffee or espresso and top with steamed milk for the ultimate PSL at home.
  • Pancakes/Waffles: Drizzle it over your favorite pancakes or waffles for a fall-inspired breakfast.
  • Ice Cream Topping: A little syrup over vanilla ice cream = instant autumn dessert perfection.
  • Oatmeal: Stir it into your morning oats for a quick seasonal upgrade.
  • Cocktails: For a fun twist, add it to your fall cocktails like spiked apple cider or a pumpkin spiced old-fashioned.

Final Thoughts:

This homemade pumpkin spice syrup is like fall in a jar. It’s easy to make, perfectly customizable, and way more flavorful than anything you’ll find at the store. Whether you’re using it for coffee or treating yourself to a seasonal dessert, it’s guaranteed to bring a little extra coziness to your day.

So, go ahead – whip up a batch, pop on your comfiest sweater, and enjoy the taste of autumn. Happy Fall! 🍁🎃
