If I’m not mistaken, it’s already our third time here at Taqueria Chupacabra. We discovered it when we were craving for mexican food one time and it is now our go to restaurant when we want some tacos and burritos. Ykaie really wanted to go to Silantro but ang nearest branch yata sa amin is UP Town Center — ang layo! Plus we had our printer repaired at SM North EDSA and it was for pick up today. Hence, lunch is here.
Our Orders
Twinkle has really appreciated Mexican food. She ordered this Combo 3 which is composed of Cheese Quesadilla and Chicken Tacos (₱340). She didn’t want the salsa and salsa verde, though. The cheese quesadilla was served hot with real melted cheese — it was so good when dipped in the garlic aioli. As for the chicken tacos, I wasn’t able to try it but judging from Twinkle’s leftover — which was none — I’m assuming it was good and kid-friendly.
I was thinking of ordering something that’s good or my LPR but what the heck, I got their Birria Tacos (₱268) which was fairly new on the menu. The tacos was crispy with tender shredded beef. It was very flavorful and the consomme it came with is not as oily as some I’ve tried. Overall, theirs has my two thumbs up.
Ykaie and I had the same order. Together with the Birria tacos, we also shared this Chili Con Carne Bowl with Chips (₱409). It was a big serving so Daddydoodledoo and Twinkle also shared this with us.
Daddydoodledoo ordered the Baja California Fish Burrito (around ₱300++), fish daw kase pa-healthy sya… LOL!
To end this meal is this wonderful Horchata (₱90) that tastes like liquified cinnamon roll. Ykaie ordered this and it was super duper yummy! I’ll make sure to order one next too next time.
Taqueria Chupacabra is located at the G/F SM The Block.
