To celebrate Daddydoodledoo‘s birthday last year, we had lunch at QC Finest Cuisine (na nagulat ako dahil sarado na ngayon!) and we had coffee at Wiltlover Cafe. This year, he wanted Judy Ann’s Crispy Pata daw for his birthday kaya dun kami nag-lunch. O diba, ang saya nya? LOLz!
Judy Ann’s Crispy Pata is available in two sizes—Regular (₱845) and Jumbo (₱925). This is the Jumbo size — well, konti lang naman ang difference nila. It comes with two kinds of sauces—soy sauce-vinegar, which is a usual crispy pata condiment, and sweet and sour sauce.
This crispy pata is tender, juicy and has a sweet crispy skin. It was said that the swetness of the skin is due to pickle juice that’s drizzled on it before serving. It is served topped with 3 pickle slices.
This is our favorite crispy pata to date.
We also ordered Chopsuey (₱275) and Judy Ann’s Kare Kare (₱395). The chopsuey has different kinds of vegetables like napa cabbage, carrots, beans, sayote, young corn, and celery. It also has boiled eggs. Their version of Kare Kare has tripe. It was okay, nothing special but the veggies that came with it was overcooked.
Daddydoodledoo loved their Torta with Alimasag (₱245). It was meaty, savory, and came with a sweet sauce very much like the sauce of fresh lumpia. We paired all these with their Plain Rice Platter (₱195)
Syempre babalik-balikan namin ang crispy pata dito!
Judy Ann’s Crispy Pata is located at 201 Gen. Luna St., Brgy. Ibaba, Malabon.
