The rain can be a real mood-killer, especially after a long shopping trip. But fear not, fellow shoppers! Our rainy afternoon took a delightful turn when we found ourselves seeking a pick-me-up at Chapter Coffee Roastery and Cafe.
It was an open cafe but there was a slight aroma of freshly brewed coffee was about making me more excited to have a cup. I’ve had my eye on this cafe for quite some time now and I’m more likely to think that they serve good coffee. After all, our post-shopping haul deserved some equally delightful refreshments. It wasn’t hard to find a table as there were a few customers.
Chapter Coffee’s menu did not disappoint. For the coffee lovers in our family, there were classic choices: the rich and bold Cafe Americano (₱155) for that caffeine kick – this is what Daddydoodledoo always orders. For me, a smooth Oat Salted Caramel Latte (₱205 + ₱60 for oat milk) for a touch of sweetness. (They use Oatside Oat Milk, btw)
But the rain called for something a little more refreshing too. That’s where Ykaie’s Iced Espresso Horchata (₱190) came in. This delightful drink combined the cool creaminess of horchata with a shot of espresso for a perfect balance of sweet and strong.
And of course, no coffee shop visit is complete without a sweet treat. We decided to share a slice of Apple Pie (₱200), the warm flaky crust and gooey filling providing the perfect comfort food ending to our shopping adventure.
We also ordered from the nearby Beard Papa’s and Twinkle devoured the Chocolate Eclair. As we sipped our drinks and savored the pie, the rain continued its symphony outside. But nestled within the warm and inviting atmosphere of Chapter Coffee, the afternoon transformed from a damp inconvenience into a cozy family moment.
So, if you ever find yourself caught in the rain at SM North EDSA, don’t despair! Head over to Chapter Coffee Roastery and Cafe. You might just discover your new favorite rainy day refuge.
