We need to eat healthy these days because there has been a lot of life adjustments since February started.

Daddydoodledoo went back to corporate and he’s been going to work from morning until afternoon the first three weeks and now on the fourth week — night shift na. Yes, he’s working in a bpo company.

Grabe ang adjustment because he’s been home for the last four years. I’m used to having him here at home and helping with the household chores. But now, I feel like kulang ang 24 hours in a day.

GINISANG CAULIFLOWER WITH SHRIMP RECIPE VIDEO

This dish is so easy to cook. All you need to do is sauté garlic and onion in heated oil until onion becomes translucent. Then add the shrimp and cook it until it turns orange. Add the cauliflower, water and oyster sauce. Season it with patis, black pepper, oyster sauce, and seasoning granules, if using. Simmer for a few minutes and it’s done. Ang dali lang diba?

This also the perfect ulam since it’s lent.

Ginisang Cauliflower (Sauteéd Cauliflower with Shrimp)

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 500g shrimp, shells removed and deveined
  • 1 large cauliflower hear, cleaned and cut into small pieces
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp seasoning granules (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • patis to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pot. Sauté garlic and onion until onion becomes translucent.
  2. Add the shrimp and cook until shrimp turns orange.
  3. Add the cauliflower and mix well.
  4. Add the oyster sauce and water. Mix well.
  5. Cover and simmer for about 5-10 minutes.
  6. Remove cover and season with ground black pepper and seasoning granules.
  7. Mix well. Adjust sesoning. Add patis if needed.
  8. Simmer for a couple more minutes and it’s done.
  9. Serve with steamed rice.
