I know, I know. It’s February.. but let me just share with you how I celebrated my birthday last December. LOL! Birthdays are meant to be celebrated, and what better way to do that than with delicious food, good company, and a little bit of entertainment? This year, I decided to forgo the traditional sit-down dinner and opt for something more exciting: a teppanyaki experience and eat-all-you-can Japanese lunch at Teppanya.
I love Japanese food and I’ve been wanting to try Teppanya’s Unlimited Madness for the longest time. I was hesitant before because it was a little pricey but since it was my birthday — I thought I’s splurge a little.
The Regular Lunch Rate was ₱1,488++ per person. It already includes, steaks, pork belly, pork, chicken, seafood like salmon, snapper, squid, and shrimp, and vegetables like yasai itame, tofu steak, sushi, sashimi, Nigiri, plus drinks.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly service. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere, with the rhythmic clang of spatulas hitting the teppanyaki grill filling the air. We were seated around a large teppanyaki table, where our chef would soon put on a culinary show.
They handed us a menu that offered a wide variety of dishes. We were instructed to choose from the menu and then they’d serve it on our table. This was like a sit down buffet. We decided to order a selection of items so that we could all try a bit of everything.
I was surprised to find out that they serve a whole order of each item — Ang bilis makabusog!
When our chef arrived, he introduced himself with a flourish and proceeded to entertain us with his impressive knife skills and cooking techniques. He flipped eggs in the air, juggled vegetables, and even created a little flame show with his spatula. It was all very impressive, and it added to the fun and festive atmosphere .
He even let Ykaie and I try the flipping of the egg! O diba ang saya-saya ko dyan sa picture? heeheehee
The food was, of course, the star of the show. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were absolutely delicious. The steak was tender and juicy, the seafood was fresh and flavorful, and the vegetables were crisp and colorful. We also enjoyed a variety of dipping sauces, which added another layer of flavor to the food.
Too bad I was full from our early order that I was only able to eat a little of this steak and squid — which tasted amazing btw!
Overall, I’s say my birthday celebration at Teppanya was a resounding success. The food was amazing, the service was excellent, and the entertainment was top-notch. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion, or even just for a fun and unique dining experience.
Next time I think I wanna try their 5- Course Set for Php 500.
Teppanya is located at GF, North Towers, SM North EDSa Quezon City
