Paksiw na Pata
- 1.2 kg pork pata
- banana blossoms
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/3 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 8 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp peppercorns
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- Heat oil in a pot and saute garlic.
- Add the pork pata and cook until brown.
- Add the soy sauce, vinegar, pineapple juice, brown sugar , peppercorns, and water.
- Simmer for about 30 minutes and add banana blossoms. Simmer for another 20 minutes or until tender. Add 1/2 cup water if sauce becomes too thick.
- Taste and season with patis, if needed.
- Serve with steamed rice.
