Cheeseburger Soup
- 300g ground beef
- 3 tbsp butter mixed with 1 tbsp oil
- a pinch of marjoram, thyme, rosemary, sage, oregano and basil
- ½ tbsp parsley flakes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 carrot, diced
- 3 celery stalks, chopped
- 2 potatoes, diced or sliced –whatever you want..it’s your soup
- 3 cups chicken stock {or 1 knorr chicken cube dissolved in 3 cups water}
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 medium bottle of Cheez Whiz
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tsp cornstarch dissolved in 1 tbsp water
- salt and pepper to taste
- pickle chips for garnish
- garlic bread
- Season beef with ½ tsp salt and pepper .Mix Well.
- Heat butter + oil in a pot. Form beef into small balls and fry them until brown, remove from pot and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté onion until translucent.
- add carrots, potatoes, parsley, celery, marjoram, thyme, rosemary, sage, oregano and basil.
- Pour in broth and add beef.
- Simmer until potatoes are tender.
- Turn heat to low and add cheez whiz, milk, salt and pepper while stirring constantly.
- Bring to a boil and then add cornstarch-water mixture. Add more cornstarch water mixture if you want soup thicker and add water to make it thinner.
- Turn off heat and stir in sour cream.
- Serve hot with a pickle chip on top as garnish and a garlic bread on the side
