Baked Ziti
- 400g lean ground beef
- 1 white onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves , minced
- 1 jar meatless sauce, I used Essential Everyday Mushroom Pasta Sauce
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 500g package Ziti pasta , cooked and drained
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Preheat oven at 350ºF (176ºC)
- In a large skillet – heat oil and cook onions until translucent then add garlic and cook for one more minute.
- Add ground beef and cook till no longer pink ( drain excess fat).
- Stir in sauce, water, and oregano. Bring to a boil and simmer for a minute.
- Stir 1 cup of sauce into the “cooked” ziti pasta.
- Place 1/2 of the ziti into the Luminarch Smart Cuisine 250º.
- Top with 1 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese
- Top with rest of sauce.
- Top with rest of pasta.
- Cover and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the rest of mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese.
- Cook till cheese is bubbly, about 5 minutes.
