So…. my journey to health and fitness and finally losing my pregnancy weight started last Saturday.
My plan of attack is to eat low-carb meals and avoid sugar at all cost! Those things are what makes it so hard for me to lose weight. Of course, to start on my fitness journey I had to haul my a$s from the couch and move. I started doing Hip Hop Abs again. The first day was the hardest. I didn’t even finish the 29-minute cardio work-out and my sides hurt. My muscles were not used to moving anymore.
I tried doing Hip Hop Abs last October but I stopped because I couldn’t find the time. My mornings were kept busy by Ykaie and Twinkle. My afternoons were dedicated to my blog and I’m almost, always too tired to work out by that time.
This time around, I’m doing them early in the morning — as in really early! Sometimes I do it at 3am, sometimes at 4am.. it depends on what time I wake up. Today, I am five days into working-out and my sides don’t hurt anymore.
I made this Cauliflower Rice the other day because I swore off rice for the mean time and I get OP (out of place) at the dining table when everyone (that means peanutbutter♥ and ykaie) eats rice. I feel kawawa eating only ulam…huhubelles! Now, I don’t feel OP anymore because I have my own low-carb rice… Weeee!
To make myself more accountable, I’m documenting my progress (if there’s any), failures, and the food I eat.
If you read my post last January 1st, I told you that I want to inspire my family to be healthy and join me in my journey to fitness — so I’m cooking healthier meals. So far, so good. They’ve been eating what I’ve been cooking. We stopped buying ice cream for the mean time and started buying more fruits.
So this is how I looked on Day 1 — last Saturday (January 9, 2016). I know I pretty much looked like I’m still pregnant.. *sob*. I ballooned into 209 lbs when I got pregnant. When I gave birth I came down to a a whopping 185 lbs!!! My goal weight is around 130lbs.
- Starting Weight: 185lbs
- Current Weight: 185 lbs
- Goal Weight: 130 lbs
Thisizit! Push na talaga! I’ve been meeting Shaun T in the living room every morning for 5 days now. I’m doing 29-minute cardio sessions which I’m planning to increase as weeks go by.
This Cauliflower Rice tastes a bit like rice. It acquires the flavor of anything you mix into it.
Maybe I’ll try it as Fried Rice tomorrow.

This is a perfect recipe for my diet. I’m following the Fast Metabolism diet.
I’d like to try that diet.
