I cannot count how many times I visited Tokyo Tokyo when they launched their Ramen Bar. The Braised Pork Ramen immediately became my favorite. Last week, Tokyo Tokyo launched two new ramen flavors to love together with the unveiling of a new branch, new store design, and their latest innovation: the Dessert Bar.
“We wanted to bring new flavors with unique but familiar tastes while maintaining the line’s value for money proposition. These new flavors will surely add to the Japanese ramen experience of Filipino foodies, most especially that the rainy season here,” said Tokyo Tokyo Product Manager Harvie Sering.
The first new ramen flavor is the Chicken Teriyaki Ramen. It is made with delicious grilled chicken glazed with Tokyo Tokyo’s signature teriyaki sauce, an unexpected combo of savory and sweet all in a bowl of authentic pork broth.
For those who crave for something spicy, Spicy Pork Ramen is just perfect. Made more flavorful with a rich and creamy pork broth topped with spicy ground pork and tender pork slices to satisfy that craving. These new flavors come with corn, shredded cabbage, onion leeks, and nori and egg on the side. Both are perfect with Tokyo Tokyo’s soft and savory Gyoza.
The Dessert Bar
Aside from the new ramen flavors, Tokyo Tokyo unveiled a new branch with new designs at the Venice Piazza in Mckinley Hill.
The new store design maintains a modern minimalist look – medium-height wooden tables and chairs, paneled ceilings with modern low-hanging Japanese lighting accents. Walls are adorned with iconic Tokyo landmarks such as the Shibuya Crossing, temples, bullet train, tori-i and the Imperial Palace, all contributing to achieve that Japanese atmosphere.
In this branch came the introduction of the Dessert Bar.
The new Dessert Bar features an extensive line of Japanese-inspired desserts that will surely satisfy any sweet tooth. It is available only in select branches as of the moment but hopefully, it will expand into all the branches as time goes by. I’m sure you’re curious about what the new desserts are. Well, I won’t keep you waiting, here they are:
Hazelnut Crepes are soft and creamy crepes drizzled with chocolate hazelnut syrup and served with sliced peaches on the side.
Japanese Matcha Cheesecakes are soft, fluffy, light melt in your mouth cheesecakes that boasts of a mild matcha flavor. This is my favorite among the bunch as well as the Lychee Jelly below.
Smooth and creamy Fruit Crème, decadent Dark Chocolate Mousse, and refreshing Lychee Jelly.
Aside form those above-mentioned dessert, they also have Tempura Oreo Ala Mode and a variety of pastries such as the flakey Croughnuts and chewy Japanese Pon de Ring. All these desserts perfectly partnered with freshly brewed Coffee preparations such as Café Latte, Capuccino and Iced Mocha, making the Tokyo Tokyo Dessert Bar menu a perfect ending to your Tokyo Tokyo lunch or an ideal afternoon treat.

Ramen is soul food to me. I’m a ramenaholic through and through and enjoy making it millions of different ways. I would love to eat it at a restaurant and have someone else make it for me for a change. Besides it looks way better than mine anyway. I will have an order of spicy pork ramen please.
