This Chicken Ala King is made richer and creamier with Nestlé All Purpose Cream. Good Luck in eating just one cup of rice…
You might think that as a food blogger and one who loves to cook, I must have all our lunches and dinners covered all the time. Well — surprise! — not the case! Ironically, working around food sometimes catches me at a lost for ideas on what to cook for dinner. Of course, serving repetitive dinner dishes is a no-no. peanutbutter♥ and Ykaie are used to me serving exciting and new recipes as I also like to experiment most of the time. I notice that when I serve them the usual and repetitive recipe they tend to eat less and they’re not as excited.
Good thing I found a new friend that will make dinner time a lot more zestful — Nestlé All Purpose Cream. I used to think that Nestlé All Purpose Cream is only made for dessert. Well not anymore, it can actually liven up boring everyday ulams (viands) by making it creamier and tastier.
NESTLÉ ALL PURPOSE CREAM has been a great partner of moms in making creamy creations with a twist. It is made with: water, milk fat, skimmed milk powder, emulsifiers (soya lecithin), stabilizer, natural and nature-identical flavors, and beta-carotene.
Check out what our #OUFT (Our Ulam For Tonight) is — Chicken Ala King.
Chicken Ala King is a a dish consisting of diced chicken in a cream sauce, and often with sherry, mushrooms, and vegetables, served over rice, pasta, or bread. Today, we are serving creamier and tastier Chicken Ala King over Green Peas Rice. I added sliced black olives in place of sherry in this recipe. It was a hit with peanutbutter♥ and Ykaie… even our beloved dog JayR loved it.. no kidding.
I’m sure you’ll love this. This recipe can also be found at the Nestlé Cream Facebook Page.
Now I’m very eager to try the other dishes at the Nestlé Cream Facebook Page. Have you tried their other OUFT recipes?

I am the same way – I only cook something “good” when I want to do a post. And that’s not all the time, either. LOL.
LOL!
After styling and photographing food all day, I’m often too tired to even think about what we’re going to eat for dinner. I seriously need to add your Chicken Ala King to my menu. Is it wrong to be wanting a bite at 8 AM? It looks so good!
Thanks Alli! so true about food styling and photographing.
That looks delicious! I’d substitute white rice for brown and make it even healthier. Thanks!

Thanks Lizzie! I’m sure you’ll like it.
It sounds good. I would have to use chicken breast as I have a weird texture thing with legs and thighs unless they are double baked or grilled. I bet my husband and kiddo would like this though. They’ll eat chicken legs right down to the bone no matter how they are cooked.
Chicken Breasst is good too. We just love how tasty the legs and thighs are.
It’s been a while since the last time I cooked chicken a la king. Now I’m craving. I bet your recipe is delicious. We don’t have the magic sarap here though. Maybe I could use the ginisa mix instead? 🙂
I think you can use it instead. Thanks Lynndee!

I have not eaten Chicken ala King in years! Hala. I’m going to ask my Mom to cook this for my brother & I. You know how moms like it when their children ‘make lambing’ especially with special food requests. This ought to be good. Nestle Cream is a trusted brand + product at home.

I’m sure your mom makes delicious Chicken Ala King!
I remember what I ate earlier at Adobo Connection, something like this. The Chicken/pork in gata. I bet this tastes better.
I think homemade dishes tastes better than their restaurant counterparts.
I always use this brand of cream since i find it creamier than other brands. I love chicken dishes
though i try to stay away from the dark meat portions. will try this with breast portion.
You’ll love this Michelle!
I wonder if we have that cream product here in my country. It looks really good. I love the chicken recipe!

Wow, this recipe looks so yummy! I have never heard of this before, but it is worth checking out for a quick and tasty dinner for the fam. Great recipe!
Thanks Erin!
I hate ginataan. But my bf loves it and he expects me to cook if ever we will be together someday. I’m pressured hehe. I don’t cook kasi. Diba if there’s a cream like that, food tends to spoil fast? Am i right? But there is really an improvement whenever these kinds of ingredients in included in viands.
Yes, there’s a tendency to spoil quicker so you have to make sure you cook a small batch lang so you’ll be able to consume everything or you can freeze any leftovers to be reheated the next day.
You have one lucky household as even with your knowledge of so many recipes you still find ways to come up with new ones. The Chicken Ala King looks really tasty.
Thanks Franc!
I’m just so inluck. The ingredients are readily available inside my fridge. I gotta try this one out for lunch today. Thank you.
