I received these mugs a couple of weeks ago but it’s just now that I had a chance to blog about it. These are the limited edition Starbucks Relief Mug that is the newest addition to the Collector Series City Mug. It features Manila and Cebu in a specially sculptured mug.
You might be wondering why it’s called Relief Mug. Well, the term “relief” comes from the Latin verb ‘relevo’ which means to raise. Relief is a sculptural technique wherein the shapes carved on a surface stands out from the background.
CEBU MUG ( ₱550 | ₱625 (NAIA 1))
This mug features landmarks of the Queen City of the South – Magellan’s Cross, Fort San Pedro, Basilica del Santo Niño, Halad Museum, Lapu-Lapu Bridge, Carbon Market, and Mactan Shrine.
MANILA MUG ( ₱550 | ₱625 (NAIA 1))
Features the famous landmarks in Manila – Luneta Park, Paco Park, Philippine Post Office, Liwasang Bonifacio, National Museum, Palacio del Gobernador, Manila City Hall, Fort Santiago, and the iconic Philippine mode of transporation, the Jeepney.
Which one are you getting?

Hi Peachy, I collect Starbucks Mug. I already got the Manila Mug. Is the Cebu Mug available in Manila too? Thanks.
I think it is available here as well.
These are probably not available in the United States where I reside, but these would be so nice to have. Also, these are collectibles that I believe will be worth some money in years to come.
Yes, these are not. You can get these Relief Mugs in the City they’re from.
These are beautiful – I’ve not collected Starbuck’s mugs – and how wonderfully made they look – I will have to see about getting both as gifts to share the relief attitude
You can get these Relief Mugs in the City they’re from.
I WOULD LOVE to have these, however I am sure they don’t have them here in the US. They are so beautiful! I love collecting coffee cups! ( I love your site btw)
Thanks Jen!

Up till recently I had no idea that Starbucks had such a variety of cups and mugs. It’s nice to know they have released a new one, I am slowly start to collect them now.
These are kinda like the city mugs
Such nice mugs! I don’t go to Starbucks often but I would love to collect mugs like this. I love the concept. I didn’t know they did this!
I’m sure you can find one in your city.
Looks like a really great mug, I have never gotten a starbucks mug before though!
It is a nice mug.
I love their Starbucks mugs. They are such collectibles. I’m loving the look of these and what they support.
I love them too, Krystal!
They had a series of mugs here (I don’t know if they still do?) with US cities on them. I picked up Chicago and New York when we were visiting. I wish I had a few others too.
They they still do, Rosey.
Those mugs are so stylish. I don’t have them in Canada and wish they were available. I love the prints
I think they are available in Canada but a Canada version.
Looking at those – I would never have thought those were from starbucks – I have to say it’s beautiful.
It is, isn’t it?
Oh wow – what cool designs for these limited edition city mugs. Starbucks makes really nice cups for coffee – I bought a New York City one when I visited and I love the design and size.
It’s nice that they have a mug for every city.
Nice mugs. I’ve seen many city mugs, but these are the prettiest ones.
