Tuna and Apple Sandwich
- 2 cans of tuna flakes in oil or water, drained
- 1/4 cup chopped celery
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup light mayonnaise
- salt and pepper
- wheat bread slices
- apple, sliced thinly
- lettuce
- In a small bowl, make your tuna salad by combining tuna flakes, chopped celery, chopped onions, and light mayo.
- Mix well, and add more mayo if you think it’s still a bit dry. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Chill for about an hour to give chance for the flavors to marry.
- Toast your wheat bread until your desired doneness. I like mine just warm and not fully toasted.
- Top with lettuce, tuna salad, and thinly sliced apple. Top with another bread.
- Serve immediately.
