It was my first time to have experienced attending Oktoberfest, even if it’s just a preview, at Sofitel Philippine Plaza several days ago. Oktoberfest has been held at Sofitel for the last four years and will continue to do so in the next four.
“The Sofitel Philippine Plaza is delighted to continue to be the home of Oktoberfest for the next four years. Through the years, we have seen how Oktoberfest has helped promote camaraderie among the Filipinos and Germans and we are extremely pleased to have contributed to this. The German-Filipino community can expect more excitement and thrill at every Oktoberfest at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza.”’ says Adam Laker, Sofitel Philippine Plaza General Manager.♥
Last year, over 4,000 guests got caught up in the Oktoberfest fever where more than 30,000 liters of beer, 1,000 kgs of German sausages, 300 kgs of pork knuckles and 250 kgs of sauerkraut were consumed in a span of two days.
This year they are expecting more of the same, twice the fun and excitement, and a whole lot of dancing. All will happen on October 17 and 18, 2014.
The Harbor Garden Tent will be converted into an authentic Biergärten or beer garden with Oktoberfest tables and benches. Ladies in dirndl and gentlemen in their Lederhosen to add to the spirit of Oktoberfest.
Sofitel Philippine Plaza Master Chefs will be preparing a sumptuous Bavarian spread from fresh roasted pork knuckles, laugen rolls, grilled German sausages and mouth-watering pastries paired with refreshing, ice cold San Miguel beer free flowing for all to enjoy. They’ll also play traditional Bavarian Oktoberfest music, German party music and international hits you can dance to.

Wow this is one amazing feast
i have to be honest but this beer fest has been one of my incoming highlights in October.
Cheers Sef!
I’ve never known Oktoberfest to be so classy! Really! Our band used to tour with San Miguel every Oktoberfest..we have them to thank for our trips to Vigan, Quezon, and other nice places up north, but our experience of it is loud music, a wild crowd, and lots of drinking, hehe. Nice to know the more sophisticated version of it. 😉
Sofitel’s Oktoberfest is in partnership with The German Club so it is authentic.
Such a great event and everything looks great!
It’s gonna be another festive Oktoberfest this year. I’m sure a lot of people would enjoy this.
Oh I bet!
wow!!! The Organizers of the 76th Oktoberfest in Manila really gave you a taste of what’s to come in the actual merrymaking celebration that will present German food and revelry next month.
OH MY GOSH it’s everything I love in one event hahaha. Yep, I am a beer drinker, influenced by the years that I worked on Red Horse events.
I can’t stop browsing through the photos in this post hahaha. I have to ask MrC to take me to this event.
Lucky you! Oktoberfest also happens at my place. I love the Salads

I’ve never attended any Oktoberfest events before. But this looks like a great one to go to. Just look at all the food and the booze!

Wow 76th octoberfest? Has it been that long? Well I just notice that there isn’t much difference between the ticket fee of members rate from the non-members heheheh.
