Whew! Sorry for being MIA for almost a week, you guys. My hormones have been haywire lately and then there was typhoon Glenda. I didn’t have internet access for a week and electricity was on and off for two days.
I have every intention of updating you with everything delicious that’s been happening to me lately. Let me start today….
I have this crazy craving for Shawarma these days. Good thing I’ve been seeing this Shawarma place near my Parents-In-Law’s house (in Lagro, QC) and I just had to ask peanutbutter♥ if we can try it out one night that we’re on our way home. The name of the place is Tri-Mo Shawarma Co. I always see the place teeming with customers aaand it is never empty. You have to fall in line and wait your turn if you want to try their Shawarma.
peanutbutter♥ got the Regular Beef Shawarma (₱70) while I got their Sizzling Beef Shawarma (₱120). I thought it was worth a try, it’s my first time to eat shawarma served on a sizzling plate after all. It was served “sisig- style” with one egg sitting on the middle and then topped with pita bread pieces. The serving is quite big and it can be shared by two people.
I saw some customers eating it with rice which I think is a cool idea and one which I’m still thinking of trying out next time.
What I did was mix everything up on that sizzling plate: ground beef, onions, tomatoes, cucumber, pita bread pieces egg, and then drizzle it with their special sauce. I like the consistency and the taste of their sauce — I think it’s what customers are coming back for.
I love love love that you get to smother your Shawarma with sauce when you dine in and then get extra sauce for just ₱1.00 when you buy one for take out.
Tri-Mo Shawarma Co is located at Bristol St. Lagro Subdivision. Fairview, Quezon City. I think they’re open at around 5pm – 2:30am
