Choosing a kitchen floor can sometimes be quite the task, you have to assess the color, design, and type of flooring that would make the most sense, and try and fit it into your budget. The most important consideration however, is whether or not your flooring choice can stand up to your lifestyle and provide durability and dependability for years to come. If you’re looking for the best flooring styles to spruce up your kitchen, consider the following:
- Vinyl Flooring: Vinyl flooring is not only extremely budget friendly, but comes in a vast selection of colors and styles making it an easy choice to coordinate with your existing décor. Manufacturers are also now producing vinyl flooring that is more durable, and mimics the look of more expensive flooring styles. Visit a local Flooring America and find out more about this viable flooring option.
- Tile Flooring: Tile flooring has always been a popular kitchen flooring choice, as it is durable and provides an elegant and classic aesthetic.
- Hardwood Flooring: Hardwood flooring is timeless, and can be a perfect kitchen flooring choice if you properly care for the floor. With hardwood flooring, it’s essential to make sure you follow recommended cleaning tips, and act fast if a spill occurs. The beauty of this natural flooring option is undeniable, and can look pristine for a lifetime if cared for properly.
- Laminate Flooring: Practically the younger brother of hardwood flooring, laminate flooring can mimic the look of hardwood flooring for half the budget. Laminate flooring can also mimic other flooring styles, such as tile.

I agree with the hardwood flooring that if you know how to take care of it then it will surely last for the kitchen. I myself is a fan of a tiled kitchen floor, I still think its easier to clean and the tiles make the floor cool =)

I like tiled kitchen floors..
I do too but over here it is not ideal since we have four seasons.
I think I will opt for a granite or marble kitchen floors. It’ll be easier to clean them.:)
I want a granite kitchen counter.
I want a zebrawood counter top. 🙂
I would still recommend tile flooring. Aside from durability, easier to cleanup too.
Yup, That’s what I like too..
For flooring I always wanted the granite or marble in light color. I think they are gorgeous.
We have a tile flooring pero for some reason, I think having a hard wood is okay too.
I think hardwood is okay but a lot harder to maintain..
We used to have a Laminate Flooring in our Kitchen, but then the water leak happenend and flooded our kitchen when we came home from a vacation. It was a mess! I convinced my husband to switch to tiles because it won’t rut and warp, and you know how kitchens are. I love tiled floors in kitchen and in bathroom.
Same here, Adin!
I actually dont have any idea on the kitchen flooring. ehhe but if given a chance I want it white for me to easily see the dirt. hehe
Hmmmnn.. I haven’t thought on what color I like…
