Thank goodness for a meeting, I was able to dine at Mamou for the first time — well, it was at Mamou Too! , their Rockwell branch. I’ve been hearing a lot of people rave about how good the steaks are at Mamou. Some even say that they serve the best steak in Manila.
And I would have to agree. The steaks are to die for. It was thick and charred outside giving it a smoky flavor, then pink, juicy, and tender inside. It’s best eaten without gravy so you can savor all that beef goodness.
I’m absolutely sure this steak and I are gonna see each other again.
Pasta was also served at that meeting. It tasted like White-sauced spaghetti with truffle oil. I love anything with truffle oil. It was good.
I ordered a Dalandan Mint Slush and I was expecting a yellow-colored drink to arrive but what arrived is this beautiful jade drink. It was very refreshing because of the perfect balance off both dalandan and mint. It was cool, tart, citrusy, and sweet all at the same time.
I had the pleasure of trying out a bit of these desserts: New York Cheesecake, Key Lime Pie, and Crispy Milk. The New York Cheesecake is okay. The Key Lime Pie is so far the most delicious one I’ve tried. It’s creamy and tangy.
Now this Crispy Milk dessert is very interesting. It is rich custard inside a thin, crispy batter and served with a bit of sugar for sprinkling…
Check out the inside….
I am dying to try out the rest of the items in the menu. I’ll see you again soon, Mamou.
