We love garlic in this family. Besides keeping us safe from vampires, garlic contributes so much flavor in everything that comes out of the kitchen.
In fact, we could live on garlic bread should there be a zombie apocalypse and we’ve nothing left but bread, garlic and butter. {Can you tell I just watched World War Z?}
Okay. I might be exaggerating because I don’t think there’s gonna be a zombie apocalyse soon. I just want you to know how much a simple garlic bread means to me.
This is just making garlic bread a little bit fancy. It’s very simple, very easy to do but is probably the most delicious version of garlic bread that you would ever eat in your entire life.
You see garlic bread is something you eat unnoticeably because it usually goes into the sideline. It comes with your favorite soup, it comes with pasta, and it tops salads in the form of croutons.
Today, garlic bread is the star…… simply because I am making it a star. It’s a classic. Something like your favorite pair of blue jeans.
I could live wearing just my dark blue jeans and some foodie shirts which I am acquiring a lot of these days. Although there are some days when I like wearing skirts and dresses but which I never really rarely do except when peanutbutter♥‘s here.
Never mind. Let’s talk about this bread…
This is your usual garlic bread smothered with garlic-infused butter and chopped garlic, mozzarella cheese, sliced tomato, chopped fresh basil leaves, and drizzled with a bit of balsamic vinegar.
If you don’t have balsamic vinegar, I think you can let it go but it just wouldn’t taste the same. Also, I think I should’ve made a reduction on my balsamic vinegar to make it thicker and give a more concentrated flavor.
Give this a try one of these days…
