BGC Eats: A One-Of-A-Kind Food Tour for Passionate Stomachs

As you all know Bonifacio Global City is haven to a wide range of gastronomical finds. To explore each one would certainly take a lot of time. Here to help you  experience the diverse food options which started out in BGC is BGC EATS.

Heading the BGC Eats Tour is BGC habitué JJ Yulo, known food connoisseur and blogger as well as co-founder of popular Pinoy Eats World.

BGC Eats aims to to take guests on a unique culinary tour aboard the Hop on Hop Off bus that goes around the city. It was launched last June 29, 2013 and is  happening every weekend until July 21, 2013. The maximum participants per tour date is 34 persons. I was lucky to be one of those 34 who got to experience it on its first day together with blogger friends and some media representatives.

The tour starts exactly at 3PM and will last approximately for 2 and a half hours to 3 hours. That day, we explored four restaurants. Our first stop was WildFlour Cafe + Bakery where we got to try their Mushroom Tarte Flambé and Bacon Flambé. Some but not all were also able to take home some cookies.

Our second stop was Nolita, which means North of Little Italy.

Nolita has the best pizza flavors! I got to try half a slice of their Spinach Artichoke Pizza…

…and their Fried Shrimp with Creole Hollandaise Sauce.

Third stop was 2nd’s.

Their Bacon Chicharon is worth going back there for, which I think I’m totally gonna do sometime in the next few months.

And, the mini-Benedict Burger just strengthened that desire to go back for a second time to try the other dishes in the menu…..

Fourth and Last stop was, of course, dessert!….Cupcakes by Sonja.

My favorite here is the lemon meringue and their red velvet!

Wondering how you can join BGC Eats? It’s easy.
