Goodbye Lunch at El Cañonero, Puerto Galera

After spending two nights at the beach, saying goodbye to it is a bit hard. It means vacation is over and we are going back to our busy city life. I was craving for the embrace of some fatty adobo so I ordered the Pork Adobo they have on their menu.

What was served was unexpected. A light brown, meaty adobo sans the fat. Oh boy, totally the opposite of what I was craving for. I wanted dark and I wanted fatty.

But to be positive about it, at least it was a healthier version of what I want.

Ykaie, Rome and I managed a last dip in the pool. There were lots of splashing because the little one couldn’t get enough jumping in and sis couldn’t  get enough taking jump shot photos.

There was a Mixed Inihaw Platter where we got a mix of grilled chicken, pork chop and vegetables like eggplant and zucchini.

Of course, there was an order of our comfort food, Pork Sinigang. Also not the sinigang we expected but it was fine. we just needed hot soup to warm up the chills in our bones from swimming.

We opted for a healthier dessert too! A Fruit Plate composed of sliced mangoes, apples, watermelon and banana.

  1. Lean pork adobo is okay with me, but I like the Mixed Inihaw Platter more. It looks delish!
