WARNING: Food Photo Overload
Last August 25, I was one of the partner bloggers at FOODGASM: Indulge your Taste Buds, a food tasting event and competition held at Mercato Centrale.
Lots of up and coming food businesses joined the event and showcased their scrumptious creations…
This is the first table that caught my attention, probably because of the cute pastry tower that screams “tea party!!”. Pastry Princess had me taste their Red Velvet Cupcake with Cream Cheese Frosting and their Salted Caramel Cupcake. Both were moist and delicious, just what I want my cupcake to be.
Crunchy Belly by Carlo’s Kitchen. Thin slices of pork belly that’s seasoned, breaded and deep fried!
Panzarotti from Mama Lou’s Italian Kitchen – it’s pocket of dough with mozzarella, home made pomodoro sauce or Alfredo sauce, pepperoni and sausages sort of like pizza pockets.
Just look at how crowded it was at the event.
Flavor Ave.’s Paella Valenciana– Slow cooked rice stew with chicken, pork, Spanish Chorizo, clams, New Zealand Mussels, Tiger Prawns and vegetables with Saffron
Bugle Boy’s Arizona Iced Tea, which I find to be too bland for my taste…
Bistrology’s Tinapa & Sun-dried Tomato Arancini – Sun-dried tomato risotto, folded with smoked fish, formed into balls and filled with mozzarella cheese.
I love Red Velvet! and I love Mr. and Mrs. Brussels Red Velvet Belgian Waffles with cream frosting and strawberries!
Sinantol– a spicy bicolano delicacy made with shredded santol, coconut milk and shrimp paste…
I went for the Salted Sumatra by Mad Mark’s and it was the thickest and most delicious coffee ice cream I’ve tried to date….
Sweet Home Bakeshop’s Butterscotch came in three flavors: Original, Plain and Chocolate Chips….
These are Kyma’s Taiwanese Style Chicken and Mango Pandan dessert.
Kiera’s Goodies Panecillos, a rolled pastry with sweet ground pili filling…
Heavenly Cupcakes’ Quadruple Chocolate Cupcake
Blueberry Tofu Cheesecake from Tofud Sweets which didn’t taste like tofu at all!!!
Ykaie joined the game of questions and answer and won a few prizes!!
Saving the java for last: Sulu Organic Coffee
And guess who won the competition?
Blue Toque for their The Ultimate dessert!!!
The Ultimate is a Blue Toque original dessert made up of a multilayered Belgian mousse cake with an utterly unique blend of flavors and textures: the right mix of crunchiness & creaminess…
Congratulations Blue Toque!!!
