Cut Steak and Hamburger {₱345}
Oh, I’m sure that title sounds a bit confusing… don’t be.
The Breakfast Club is this wonderful group of people that makes up that delicious magazine called Breakfast Magazine. While Pepper Lunch is this “fast-steak” restaurant which serves food on a patented electromagnetic plate that can be heated up to 260ºCelsius within one minute and diners get to cook their own food in it because it stays hot for 20 minutes.
It was so nice of these people to invite me over for dinner last Saturday along with other food bloggers. The last time I’ve been to Pepper Lunch was way back in 2008, a few months after it opened its first ever branch in Rockwell.
For those who haven’t been to Pepper Lunch yet, here’s an idea of what they serve….
Beef Pepper Rice {₱215}
I think this is one of Pepper Lunch’s best seller. You can order it with egg {+₱20}, double the meat {+₱48} or add cheese {+₱40}.
Beef Yakiniku {₱310}
The plate came with instructions on how to cook your food, it’s written in that piece of paper that surrounds it. In the restaurant, you can also find an instructional video to give you an idea in cooking your food.
The two sauce that can make those meat even more delicious are the Garlic Steak Sauce which is more spicy and salty and the Honey Brown Sauce which is on the sweet side. I found out that I like mixing it up to create a garlicky-sweet sauce.
Teriyaki Beef Pepper Rice with Egg {₱285}
Double Salmon Steak {₱395}
Chicken and Angus Beef {₱395}
To get a taste of two dishes in one, I decided to get a combo of chicken and beef and then upgrade the rice into Mixed Pepper Rice. The serving was kinda big and it more than satisfied the tummy. Both the chicken and the beef was tender and it didn’t dry up in the cooking process.
Now I’m thinking why I haven’t been back to Pepper Lunch all these years?
Spicy Tuna Salad {₱99} and Kani Salad {₱99}
Will put up a photo with The Breakfast Club tomorrow….
