Sorry I haven’t been posting much.peanutbutter♥ arrived on the 2nd of this month and as much as possible we’re spending all our time bonding as a family.
On the 4th, we went to Marinduque and stayed at the breathtaking Bellaroca Island Resorts and Spa. A review of the resort and its facilities and photos of our experiences will be posted at The Wandering Peach as soon as I can find some free time.
Let me start off with our breakfasts. We weren’t able to try out the buffet breakfast offered at the resort because on our second day, we weren’t in the mood to eat so much so early in the morning and on our third day, it wasn’t available.
Buffet breakfast is available only if there are many guests staying at the resort.
They serve complimentary bread with butter and jam before each meal. It was warm, soft and fresh from the oven.
Ykaie loved these soft buns smothered with butter. She enjoys spreading butter on top of the bread as much as she enjoys eating them.
I ordered Eggs Benedict {₱ 320++} for my first morning in Bellaroca Island. And it was too much for me, I was only able to eat a piece because of the complimentary bread. Gave the other one to peanutbutter♥.
peanutbutter♥ ordered the Filipino Breakfast Set {₱ 780++} for him and Ykaie. This set includes coffee/tea/hot chocolate, a soft roll, a slice of banana bread and a pandesal, chilled fruit juice or slices of fruits in season, two farm eggs, garlic rice and your choice of tocino, tapa, daing na bangus or bistik filipino.
peanutbutter♥ chose tocino, which is ykaie’s favorite.
Breakfast was al fresco on our third day…
It was relaxing to eat your first meal while taking in some fresh air and the view of the mountains… Ykaie was glad, because it was easier for her to feed the fishes in the nearby pond.
I ordered the Filipino Breakfast Set this time to share with Ykaie.
peanutbutter♥ settled for the Western Set Menu {₱ 980++} which includes minute steak, two eggs, hashbrowns, coffee/tea/hot chocolate, chilled fruit juice or slices of fruits in season….
It also includes a danish, croissant and a muffin served with butter and jam…
I think Rome’s order was the American Breakfast Set {₱ 780++} which includes the breads above {danish, croissant and a muffin}, bacon, sausages, hashbrowns and two eggs.
Sis also had Filipino Breakfast Set {₱ 780++} but with Tapa. Just like my order, it includes coffee/tea/hot chocolate, chilled fruit juice or slices of fruits in season, two farm eggs, garlic rice……
And a soft roll, a slice of banana bread and a pandesal….

The eggs benedict looks terrific. So does the tocino breakfast meal but man, the price is outrageous for the dish. For that price, I would have expected a buffet menu. Maybe because it’s a hotel though, should be worth it if it’s really good. 😉
Woah! The breakfast sets are expensive!! Prang buffet na nga ang rate.. How i wish we could visit bellaroca too..
wow! what a fun trip 🙂 welcome home, PB! Btw, I hope they improved their food. We were not so impressed with the taste when we went there. But the whole resort was really beautiful so I guess that sort of made up for it. Haha. Here’s our adventure http://meowbykate.blogspot.com/2011/04/so-lazy.html (although wala palang food kwento) LOL.
Kakagutom! I’ve never been to Marinduque but would sure try this when I go there~

Hi J,
Di naman. Mahal lang talaga ang food sa Bellaroca kasi medyo high-end yung resort.
Such pretty family pictures, glad that you are having good time and great food with family, Peach! Hugs.
