Two weeks ago, I got such a craving for Pho that when my sister asked me where I wanted to eat, I immediately answered Pho Hoa. I was hungry at that time so when the steaming bowl of Pho Nam Gan arrived, I ate it and forgot to take photos, hee.
Sis ordered Vietnamese Iced Coffee. It’s made with finely ground Vietnamese-grown dark roast coffee that is individually brewed with a small metal drip filter into a cup containing about a quarter of sweetened condensed milk. You have to stir it yourself and pour it over ice.
We had Mango Prawn Salad with lots of jicama slices giving it more crunch and sesame seeds for texture.
We also shared a Vietnamese Sandwich which Ykaie didn’t like.
Dessert was this Strawberry Trifle which is a bit forgettable. It made me wish I ordered something different dessert.
I couldn’t remember much of the conversation that took place at this time two weeks ago, all I can remember is that there was a band playing at the nearby restaurant beside where we are. The guitar music was bright and smooth. I’m betting the guitar player was using Maxon Pedals to produce such an amazing tone.
