My last day in Baguio was made even more memorable by their Sunday Lunch Buffet spread….
which started with the Cochinillo….
Cochinillo is tender roasted suckling pig. I had a couple of servings of this and I was surprised to find out that the sinful crispy skin is thick that when you bite into it you get not just the flavor of what they used for baste but also the natural flavor of roasted pig.
I forgot to take note of the other dishes in the spread, all I remember is that there’s Oyster Rockefeller, Salad Greens, Potato Salad and Sopa de Caldillo, a soup that tastes like tacos.
There’s Roast Beef with Peppercorn sauce, Cajun Fish Fillet with Tropical Salsa and Roast Chicken with Lemon and Garlic which Ykaie ate a lot of.
You already know how much I love their Paella Valenciana {I told you on my first post about Mario’s}. But if this is too tasty for you, they also have Herbed Rice and Roasted Potatoes.
Gratinated Vegetable Tian, Penne with Creamy Pesto and Linguine with Lamb and Peppers
Dessert Table with Chocolate Fountain, Mango Panna Cotta and I think that was Butterscotch Bar….
My Plate
I would like to repeat this Sunday Lunch Buffet but this time, I’ll try Mario’s in Tomas Morato.
The Sunday Lunch Buffet is available from 11:00am to 2:30 pm at around P650/person.
As we were leaving, my daughter told me she wants to go back to Mario’s when her daddy comes home in May. You know why? She whispered that she wasn’t able to try the “Lechon”..LOL!
