It’s the love month. My peanutbutter♥ is too far away to take me on a date. Sis is too shy to date herself. Deal Grocer offered an Exquisite 6-Course Valentine’s Feast for 2 at Ilustrado Restaurant for P2,500 {Valued at P4,000}.
So this post-Valentine’s date for FIVE happened…..
Yup, this date is for two adults and three pesky little kids…
True, it was chaotic…..but it was fun!
There was a lot of noise and some running around but the kids surely had the time of their lives, feeling it was a real Valentines date.
The meal started with a fresh baked Carrot and Raisin Roll served with butter and I guess, liver pâté… the roll was chewy and tasted primarily of raisins.
Then came Baked Half Shelled Aklan Oysters Trio: Parmiggiano Reggiano and Garlic, Tomato and Basil, Champagne Cream and Caviar.
They were delicious but I loved the Parmiggiano Reggiano and Garlic best. The cheese was cooked to a crisp and the garlic brought out that sea salt taste of the oysters.
Essence of Duck Consomme with Foie Gras and Wild Mushroom Ravioli
Those floating Cilantro leaves complimented the ravioli filling very well. My daughter had a spoonful with a quarter of the ravioli and gave it a thumbs up…
This Raspberry Sherbet was served before the main course. I think it’s to cleanse the palate and prepare it for another delectable dish.
Ykaie finished this single scoop of the sherbet and wanted more……
For the main course, we had to choose one from a list of three dishes. I did not go wrong when I chose Australian Lamb Chops with Roasted Garlic, Whipped Potatoes and Brown Sauce Balsamico because it was very delicious. The lamb meat was so soft.
Sis had Wagyu Sirloin (center cut) with Sauteed Shiitake Mushrooms, Wilted Spinach and Marsala au jus. {photo in her blog, of course}
For dessert, we had Baked Cheesecake with Fresh Strawberries dipped in Belgian Chocolate…
which ykaie ate most of ……………..I had Mint Tea and the rest of the cheesecake.
Sis ordered Valrhona Chocolate Tartlettes which tasted like they’re heaven in a cup.
This is an extra main course that we ordered for the kids to share: Half Pan-Fried Spring Chicken with Glazed Apples and Capers Au Jus. {P475}

Baked oysterrrss! The oyters remind me of the baked oysters in Vikings. I just can’t get enough of them. These baked oysters look more delicious though. I’ve been to Intramuros many times but haven’t tried to dine in Ilustrado.
