Unlike other hotel/resorts, Plantation Bay doesn’t include breakfast with the room reservation. The reason behind that is that they don’t want to include it in the price of the room. They want their guest to have to freedom to choose if they want the buffet breakfast for P950 per person or the a la carte for P250 -P450 per person.
I think this is a nice move on their part specially if you find yourself not so hungry in the morning like we were.
Filipino Breakfast {P450}
Ykaie opted for the traditional Filipino breakfast composed of Longganisa {Philippine breakfast sausage}, sunny-side up egg, garlic rice, pickled papaya and orange juice. Actually, you can choose from Longganisa, Beef Tapa or Crispy Fried Fish but we knew that Ykaie won’t eat the other two choices. Besides, sis and I also want to see how their Longganisa tastes.
Well, it had a melody of sweet, salty and garlicky flavor that hit the spot on my tastebuds. It was a memory of home on a plate.
Waffle Special {P250}
Sis only had waffles with butter and maple syrup served with a slice of mango and watermelon. She knew that Ykaie and I won’t be able to finish what we were having so we shared orders.
Breakfast is accompanied by a view of water, greens and some red and yellows. Plantation Bay absolutely has one of the best atmosphere because it gets you closer to nature with all the trees, grass and some flowering plants. I can imagine how the maintenance must be to create a place like that.
With my black thumbs, plants won’t be able to survive a day with me. But I’m not losing hope. Do you think making organic fertilizers with composters would work for me? No, not trees, just a few potted plants around the house. Hmm…
Continental Breakfast {P450}
My Continental breakfast includes a plate of breads and pastries for the day, butter and marmalade, a small plate of fresh fruits, yogurt and coffee. It was a lot! Imagine eating six pieces of bread???
My fruit plate looks like a smiling face with two slices of dwarf pineapples, watermelon and papaya… I love Cebu’s dwarf pineapples. It may seem a bit dry but it’s actually not when you bite into it. It’s sweet and crunchy. You won’t find this anywhere else…
