I was both surprised and flattered when Joy of Gastronomy by Joy invited me for dinner to celebrate her blog’s first anniversary, after all I only met her once. Although I tend to frequent her blog to check out her latest restaurant and food adventure, we never really sat down and talked.
But I could tell I could easily like this woman…..
Because, number one ~ she loves food.
I so wish I am as thin as her and I could eat what I want like calories never existed.
Number two, she is very nice and she has lots of stories to share..
I met her at Pages Deli last saturday. I also met Chef Anna of My Pink Wasabi, Raymond of Food Health Reviews and Yedy of Yedylicious Food Blog . Chef Anna and Raymond had to leave early, though, so I never really had the chance to talk to them.
Spicy Tofu Appetizer
Joy, Yedy,Ykaie and I transferred to Bistro Vignette, a cozy and tastefully designed restaurant at Ortigas center in the middle of the park.
This struck me as one romantic restaurant…perfect for “date night”.
Ratatouille served with steamed Rice
Yedy and Joy could be my long lost bffs as we could talk about anything under the sun~ well, mostly we talked about food and blogs.
We had two kinds of pasta but I sort of forgot what this is. I think this was Carbonara…
..and this one was Scalloppini {?}
These were both delicious but Ykaie favored the pasta above.
Dessert was on the house… The Revel Bar and the Oatmeal Bar were both perfect to end that delicious feast…
I was more overwhelmed because aside from the wonderful dinner, Joy also prepared goodies for us to take home. She gave us some Kashi Makis made by Chef Anna….
She also gave us a couple of those cute Halloween cupcakes she makes which Ykaie loved and a bottle of Balsamic Vinegar from Italy which I have yet to try.
It was a wonderful night with wonderful food and two new wonderful friends!
Thank you so much Joy and Cheers to more food blogging years!
