I love cooking and eating delicious food. That’s how my major problem started and I am now 25 lbs overweight. I feel like I am on my way to being majorly unhealthy too.
..And this season, I’m planning on some major lifestyle change. Now, I know that I maybe not the best person to seek advice from when it comes to Weight Loss Tips but I know how I gained weight. I figured that in order to lose weight fast I will have to do the opposite of what I’m doing now, hence, these tips on how one can shed a few pounds.
- Drink lots of water. Avoid sodas, juices and smoothies. These drinks contain empty calories and keeps you bloated. Water does not have calories and the more you drink the more toxins you flush out.
- Do not skip breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it jumpstarts your metabolism so you burn fats. If you are used to having the usual bacon and egg breakfast switch to oatmeal and yogurt or other healthier alternative.
- Do not skip a meal. Make sure you eat all throughout the day to keep your metabolism going. Three full meals and two snacks is ideal.
- Go on, have dessert. But make sure dessert is fruit or anything with lower calories than a chocolate cake.
- Some people start a food journal to be aware of what they eat and the urges on why they eat. This is a great way to keep track of what you are eating and when you are eating them so you can make the necessary changes.
- Choose lean meats and take the skin off your chicken as it contains more fat.
- Eat more fish and vegetables as they contain fiber and less fat.
- Poach, Grill and Steam food versus frying them or smothering them with fatty sauces.
- Get your butt moving and exercise. We all know that 3,500 calories = 1 pound. If you burn 7,000 calories in a week, then you will lose 2 lbs.
- Find a work- out buddy. It will keep you on track and it will keep you from getting bored while working out. {I am trying to get my sister to commit herself to this working-out thing}
- Find an inspiration. It may be that swimsuit, dress or an old thin photo of yourself and hang it where you can see it often to remind you of your weight loss goal and keep you on track.
I’m absolutely positive that if you keep on doing these everyday, you will be surprised how fast weight loss can happen.
