It was my first time at Café 1771 when I was invited to get to know Ms. Cheshire Que, a lifestyle and weight management consultant/US registered dietitian and her My Spa Diet, the first online weight management program in the country that emphasizes a customized diet plan fit for a person’s lifestyle.

The welcome drink was Easy Pha-Max Wheat Grass drink. Personally, I don’t drink wheat grass nor have I tried it because I know it would taste like I was drinking juiced weeds from my mother’s garden. But you know me, I give a chance. I am willing to try anything once.
So I had a glass of ice, poured out the green juice and took a sip. You know what, it’s not so bad. It tastes so much like Matcha Green Tea Frappuccino, a drink I so love♥.And the good thing is is that instead of getting fat and calories, you’ll get powerful anti-oxidants, phytochemicals and other nutrients that help cleanse the blood, neutralize toxins and eliminate excess fats, free radicals and heavy metals from our system. It is also rich in fiber which helps clear out toxins and garbage in the digestive tract.
Not bad for a welcome drink, huh?
Our lunch started with clear Mushroom Soup. It’s healthier than creamy mushroom soup but taste just as good.
Then we were given Caesar Salad with the dressing on the side. Ms. Cheshire said that it’s better to eat your salad with the dressing on the side. This way, you avoid eating salad with too much fat coming from the dressing. What you should do is dip your fork in the dressing before getting a forkful of the greens.
We were given a choice of Fish something {I can’t remember, sorry} and Paprika Chicken for our main course. Not being a fish lover, a thing that I have to change, I chose Paprika Chicken.
It was soooo good. Even the rice was very tasty. It tasted of tomato and herbs…
Dessert was Lemon Tart with whipped cream on the side and candied lemon peel. Oh my, if I could only get a spoonful more of those candied lemon peel, I would.
With all the food that was served to us in this event and the ambience that makes you feel like you’ve been in a quaint deli in Europe, I know I would be going back to this restaurant soon.

wow, all looks delish. I want to try that Lemon tart. I love your blog. I’m glad I found it. You’re sister has a great blog too.
I’ve been hearing great things about this place. Too bad it’s so far away from us. :/
Sounds like a great place to enjoy delicious food with friends and family. That lemon tart looks really good. and yes, I would love an extra spoonful of those candied lemon peels too! 😛
paprika chicken and lemon tart looks so yummy. and this wheat grass thingy, is this the one being sold at 7-11?
Yeah, that’s Easy Pha-Max, the canned one not the powder na kailangan pa timplahin.
The drink looks so cool! you didn’t add anything? like sugar or simple syrup? 😀
I’ve tried easy pha-max rtd and it tastes good! it’s a sweet drink surprisingly since I got the impression that since it’s wheatgrass it’ll taste like grass. plus, it’s a healthy drink that neutralizes the body and helps remove excess fats which is a good news if you’re on a diet. I didn’t know about the “proper way” of eating Caesar salad until I read this post haha. I’ll keep that in mind 🙂
I’ve tried easy pha-max wheatgrass ready to drink and I love this! It’s sweet and no need to prepare it since I can drink it straight from the can. I like this drink very very cold 🙂 I didn’t feel guilty drinking this one because it’s super healthy with all the nutrients included in this drink. I highly recommend it.
I didn’t know there’s a “proper way” of eating Caesar salad until reading this post. very informative, thanks for this one 🙂
