When I gave birth to my daughter more than three years ago, I resigned from an office job and started a small business. I thought this way I can work from home and can take care of her at the same time. All I can say is that this is the best set-up because I watch how she grows on a daily basis as I man our business.
As time goes by, I feel that there is a need to expand what I have learned and discovered over the last couple of years. My passion for cooking and the desire to share it with everyone is pushing me to enter in the food business. My worry is that I only have passion and experience. Everything is self-taught. There was no proper training.
This is what I told a friend over coffee one afternoon. She told me that I could go to companies offering small business help. They give tips and trainings on solid business discipline and great customer relationship building. All the things that I would need. Sometimes, these companies even provide small business resources to jumpstart whatever it is an entrepreneur is starting.
I guess these companies are the reason why small businesses become successful ones.
