What a tiring day! I woke up with the memory of a nice talk with peanutbutter♥ last night.
My schedule included accompanying my cousin, who came all the way from Zambales, at Henry’s in Glorietta5. She bought a new camera, lens, tripod, camera bag and remote. Can you imagine that?
And while we were at Henry’s, I saw my crushes. My heart almost skipped a beat. I told them that I’d be back for them but I can’t promise when. Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM Lens is just too expensive {read: 65 grand} and I think it will take me a year to save for the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Lens.
*Sigh* …now I wish I made a bet at the lottery.
Alfredo with Beef and Mushroom {P180/$4.28}
Anyways, it was fun time with the kids once again…running, fighting, kiddie rides…and oh, I had my business card printed, hee. It’s cute but I think it’s out of personality.
Towards the end of the day, our empty stomach took us to Almon Marina. I used to love Almon Marina because of the atmosphere and the cold cuts.
For some odd reason, today, Ykaie didn’t request for pesto pasta. She wanted white sauce but I thought Carbonara maybe too rich for her so I ordered Alfredo which she and Cyra shared.
I love that the sauce is not too thick that it drowns the pasta, but it’s a little short on the mushroom and the beef. I found only two slices of mushroom and four thin slices of beef. The taste is delicious, though, and ykaie finished her share. I had a couple of spoonfuls, myself.
Roast Chicken {P175/$4.16}
The Roasted Chicken came with rice pilaff and your choice of one siding. Rome chose mashed potato with gravy. I wasn’t able to try the chicken but he said it was good.
I think it looks juicy and tasty. what do you think?
Puttanesca {P180/$4.28}
Sis ordered what I think is her favorite pasta of all time. Now, don’t get me wrong. I love fresh tomatoes. I love tomato-based pastas. I love anchovies on everything {just not my pb&j sandwich}.But maybe I don’t like it’s combination with capers and pasta because I’m not fond of this pasta flavor at all.
Minestrone Soup {forgot the price, sorry}
This has the usual ingredients of minestrone like a little bits of pasta, some beans, carrots and potato pieces but Almon Marina’s version is thicker.
I am a soup girl remember? So, I liked it…
Very Berry Cheesecake {P95/$2.26}
I am also a dessert girl..so my meal of soup and dessert is kind of a complete meal for me. Besides, the kids ate my oreo cheesecake a few hours ago…so I totally deserve this…

Wow! The cheesecake looks so good. At least it makes up for the lack of ingredients in the pasta. 🙂
