Whenever I’m on a health kick, I steer away from chips and chocolates and eat fruit as a snack. My favorite includes mango, apple, cantaloupe and banana. However, if I can’t have fresh fruit or if fresh fruit is not available, I tend to snack on dried fruits. It is a healthier alternative because it is made up of natural ingredients.
It’s better if you can make homemade ones because you can control the amount of sugar that you put in it, in case you want to put any.
At the grocery, my picks are these: raisins, dried cranberries and dried mangoes. If there are dried apricots, I go for it too. But my favorite among them are dried Philippine mango, they are sweet, fresh and a little tart. They are very easy to eat to eat too because they are sliced thinly.
These are the perfect snack when watching a movie, talking with friends and surfing the net. And since I found out that my friends love it too, I also serve this as snack when I host a poker party at my house.
