Food Find: Regent’s Lemon Cake

Honestly, I never liked any of Regent’s mini-cake. My mom does, though, she has them in different flavors and she would eat them for morning and afternoon snack.

I discovered their lemon Cake recently through sis. She would usually buy them in packs of ten which costs P70 {$1.60} and she would eat around 2-3 pieces while watching movies on her desktop computer. She looked really satisfied while she was eating it that one day, I decided to give it a try.

It was like their other cakes -soft, a little moist and light. It was also bursting with lemon flavor. What came as a surprise was that it was filled in the middle with lemon cream/jelly. I didn’t know that this was filled with something. I knew then why sis could eat three of these.

Heck, I could easily finish five of this.

I even found a special way of eating it. I pair it with coffee! I dip the sides in my coffee. The coffee-soaked cake would give this lemon-coffee combination that’s just…..{I can’t find the word} — nice on the tastebuds. When I’m finished dipping and eating the sides, I am left with the cream-filled middle!

Definitely one of the cheap ways to tickle my tastebuds!
