If only I live in the US, I would be participating in the Food Blogger Event but I don’t so I only did what I could do. Please support and spread the word about STIR IT 28.
STIR IT 28 is a 3-part fundraising effort to help in the relief of Haiti’s devastating earthquake, which left thousands dead. STIR IT represents the action we take in the kitchen and STIRring up support for Haiti. 28 represents solidarity through a month-long mobilization effort in raising money during all of February through donations.
On February 21st, four (& counting) cities will host an evening of culinary adventures by chefs, restaurants and food bloggers in each city!
100 percent of monies raised goes directly to Yéle & Share Our Strength. They have accepted our campaign & are helping us get the word out!
Bren of Flanboyant Eats, Chrystal of The Duo Dishes and Courtney of Coco Cooks, have partnered up to create STIR IT 28: Food Bloggers Align for Haiti Relief. Stir It is about the global culinary community coming together to help in the rebuilding of the poor island nation, through what we do best: COOK.
FOOD BLOGGERS ALIGN! HOW CAN YOU HELP?
The most important thing is to be a Participating Chef/Food Blogger for the event. Each participant is to provide 2-3 dishes max, enough to feed 15-20 each. We are hoping to get 100-150 in attendance at each venue! Email your respective city event host if you want to participate.
Host an event in your city! Houston has just signed up! NY is in the works, too! We realize the event date is only 3 weeks away, but with our assistance and resources we can help you put together a fundraiser! It doesn’t have to be on our scale, but something such as an intimate dinner for 10, 20, 40 or 50. You can also host a similar event with less participating chefs/restaurateurs/cooks and attendees.
