Another sign that Christmas is soon to come, Roasted Chestnuts can be seen from supermarket to the local wet market to sidewalk vendors. I’m not that fond of Roasted Chestnuts but this is my dad’s and one of peanutbutter♥‘s fave Christmas food.
When I saw freshly roasted warm chestnuts on the sidewalks of Divisoria last Sunday, I thought of the only two people who loves chestnuts in my family and bought half a kilo for them. peanutbutter♥‘s share is still in a container,though. I think he has forgotten all about them.The change in his work schedule is stressing him out a little.
These chestnuts are roasted while churning continuously with rounded little black things. I think they’re special kind of stones.
