This afternoon I bought Potato Chips from Aling Rosie (Mrs. Rosie). She sells potato chips from a small store a few blocks away from the neighborhood where I live. The potato chips are made from real potatoes that are fried in hot oil until they are crispy.

You have to choose from potatoes with prices that range from P6 to P12. I bought two potatoes for P12.00 each ($0.24).

Then the potatoes are sliced manually using a special knife.

The thinly sliced potatoes are then fried into very hot oil……
After that, it’s drained and flavored by cheese powder then transferred into a paper container. There will be a small dollop of mayo on the side for dipping.
How about that for a fresh potato chip snack?
