After checking out of our hotel in Tagaytay, we headed home {to Manila} but stopped over at Nuvali to have lunch. We decided on Pig Out! because of Ykaie’s love for pork and anything grilled.
While waiting for the food that we ordered, peanutbutter♥ and Ykaie went outside to feed the fishes at Nuvali Lake. It was our first time to see that many hungry Kois around and Ykaie was very excited to feed them with her daddy.
Pig Out! is a Filipino-style country grill house and they offer all-time Filipino favorites like this Pork Belly Inihaw {₱385} among others. We love pork belly and we can’t say no to it specially if it’s marinated well and grilled perfectly.
To keep the balance going there has to be fish.We ordered Bangus Ajo Ajo {₱345} which is a simple deep-fried milkfish topped with browned garlic and {I think} crispy chili leaves.
We also ordered this fiery-red Spicy Clam Soup {₱295}. And it was hot I tell you. I can feel my sweat glands complain just by looking at it…. but it was just what I need to calm my nerves on this hot, hot, Summer day.
Yeah, I’m weird that way. I love eating hot food on scorching moments. The clams were fresh, I couldn’t complain.
And as if our cholesterol levels aren’t high enough, we managed to order Chicharon Rice {₱295} to go with everything. It was very tasty and I could feel the crunchy chicharon bits in each bite. There was also hints of the fried pork they used to flavor the rice in the background.
I think I might need a neck pillow after this..LOL!
If we happen to be in the area again, we might try the other dishes…

Wow…there were so many kois in the pond! How exciting. 🙂 All the dishes look wonderful from Pig Out. Wish I can travel there to try it out. 🙂
When we are at Nuvali, Pig Out is a top choice also only that I find their grilled pork so oily, he!he! I am seeing lots of cholesterol 🙂
Chicharon Rice looks yummy =D Will try Pig out soon! thanks for sharing!
Everything looks delicious, especially the Pork Belly Inihaw and Bangus Ajo Ajo (what a unique name!). My husband will surely like the Chicharon Rice, too!
WAHHHHH nagutom ako bigla kahit kakakain ko lang ng breakfast! ang sarap2 nung Pork Bell Inihaw oh my! why di ko nakita yang Nuvali nung pumunta ako Tagaytay !!!
I’ve never been to Nuvali though I read a lot of good reviews about the place. Maybe after elections when I’m free of my job responsibilities, I’ll unwind and take my family with me.
What a feast and what fun you all are having! I love the pictures of your family!
